Niue Chamber Ends Year on High

The Niue Chamber of Commerce has ended a successful year of activities with former All Black’s coach Sir Graham Henry speaking at a special function at the Scenic Matavai conference centre. Sir Graham – or Ted to his friends – regaled the gathering with tales of his time as coach of the men in black. Richie McCaw, Mils Muliaina, Tana Umaga, Keven Mealamu, Dan Carter, Conrad Smith, Brad Thorne, Stephen Donald, Piri Weepu to name but a few who Sir Graham say were not only great rugby players but down-to-earth blokes.

Somewhere, in what was an entertaining evening, was a serious message from Sir Graham. The success of the All Blacks lies in a number of factors – absolute respect for the jersey you wear, culture of self-improvement, older players looking out for the younger ones – were some that comes to mind.
